Example: OMEN by HP - 15-dc1059nf
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey, guys. I have a bit of .. weird problem?

i have an OMEN by HP - 15-dc1059nf(running on Windows 10) , lately i had graphic issues so after diagnostic ,Hp service replaces the motherboard. It works smoothly now alright ..

But i had an issue on my keyboard , just one key ; by typing the key 'inferior ,superior' ( <> ) , it works like if it was CTRL right ,or in my keyboard i don't even had the CTRL right like the old version of the hp keyboard.

So i can't even type those characters <> , i don't know if the issue is due to the bios after replacing the motherboard or what !

I re-installed the keyboard drivers and check the updates , all fine yet the problem maintains.

Thank you very much in advance! If you need any more details, I'll try my best to provide.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with one of the keys on the keyboard.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

Are you facing this issue in any particular application/software?

Meanwhile, I recommend you uninstall the keyboard driver from the device manager and then restart the computer and check whether the issue is resolved.

Here is how it is done.

  1. Type "Device Manager" into the search field to open the device manager console.
  2. Expand the node that represents the type of device that you want to uninstall, right-click the device entry, and click Uninstall.
  3. On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click OK to start the uninstall process.
  4. When the uninstall process is complete, remove the device.

NOTE: On the Confirm Device Removal dialog box, click the Delete the driver software for this device option to delete the driver package that was used for the device.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
