Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I run an HDMI cable from my HP Dv6 laptop running Win10 to my TV -- and it works without any problems.

What are you seeing on the TV when you connect the cable from the laptop?

OK, thanks.

My TV has several different HDMI inputs, and I use the #1 input for my cable connection.

IF I hook my laptop up to the TV, it shows nothing because the TV is still set on HDMI input #1.  I have to MANUALLY switch the TV to use HDMI #2 as the input SOURCE.

Once I do that, I see the laptop's screen mirrored on the TV.

Good Luck
