HP Omen M2X20PA#ABG
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Folks, my cursor is jumping (mainly vertically) without any intervention. This occurs with no USB mouse is attached. If I connect a Microsoft wireless mouse to a specific USB port, then it is fine. If i connect the same mouse to another port, then I get the same issues with the cursor jumping around and items selected randomly on the screen. If I connect a standard USB wired mouse, the same thing happens but in batches.... It may occur for a short while, then it stops and everything is fine. After a short while, it starts again and the laptop is uncontrollable.

Can anyone please help !

I think Omen Gaming Hub is the culprit. My Omen has same problem. I don't play games but few dozen of many things keep loading to Gaming hub for no reason. I did try

Cursor now stops moving after few minutes after boot time. I only use my HP Omen once or twice a month, may be more now after the lock down, I meet my grand children more often.

Hope this helps

Regards.

Thank you !!!!

I had a look at the processes running and I stopped the "HP Gaming mouse" software. It's not something that I have installed and I don't know how it got there. I suspect that it is part of the HP Omen software that was already installed. I couldn't find any Omen gaming hub software that was running. However, when the "HP Gaming Mouse" software process was killed, the problem went away.....

Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction
