HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-cx0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So sometimes when I'm playing a game or typing a paper, my screen goes completely black.

However, I can still hear the audio and I can still move around in-game, but my screen is just completely black. Sometimes the screen flashes black and the colors on the screen turn black and white or muted colors. However,  this seems to only happen when I'm signed into the laptop, I tested the login screen and the problem does not occur. Holding the power button and resetting works temporarily, but it's just frustrating when I'm in the middle of a task and I'm forced to reset my laptop.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.
