HP Probook 645 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Probook 645 G1 laptop. Last week I've factory reset my Laptop, and for some **bleep**ing reason the brightness was maxed and the brightness slider and settings were completely gone. I did the logical thinking and tried to update the monitor driver, surprise surprise, there were none available. Later tried to update the Graphic driver and there were three options to choose from. The first one was. and still is, the latest version of AMD Radeon HD 8450G V.27 (Dec 2020). The second one is the same driver but version number 15 from 2015, and the last one is Microsoft's Basic Display Adapter.

The first one is the most stable of the three. It has the following issues:

  • No brightness setting (by default MAX brightness is set)
  • Funky graphic (aka the screen is potatoes, chunky pixel per inch. think of it as the graphics in Safe Mode Windows 7)

The second one locks the system every **bleep**ing time I lunch the system. or occasionally freezes.

The Last one | Blue Screen of Death after 10 minutes of use. (Plus, the slider doesn't even do **bleep**

In conclusion, No driver is **bleep**ing available to FIX the issues. No **bleep**ing one is having a 'working' brightness setting.
