Pavilion DV7 notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This touch pad used to work so far but has no action since former 2 or 3 updates of W10 (currently 20H2).

Hardware or software issue? Obsolescence issue?

Follow the below instructions -

 

Step 1- Perform a Power Reset your Laptop​

 

For instructions refer to -How to Power Reset your Laptop​

 

Step 2-Perform BIOS defaults 

 

Refer to -Restoring Defaults in BIOS

I only had to perform the reset as recommended and ... it worked!
