HP Spectre x360 - 15-df1010na
Microsoft Windows 11

My laptop no longer recognizes my 2nd display (it's also a HP product, connected using HDMI cable)

It's worked perfectly well before, the only change i can see is updating my computer to Windows 11 (pointless)

 

I've checked all the drivers, there's nothing to update when checking via Device Manager

I've been on the HP site to check Software and Drivers and it doesn't even give Windows 11 as an option...

Don't know what else to try?

 

I really need a second screen for working

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

 

I see you are experiencing second screen not detected issues with the HP Spectre Laptop.

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Try swapping the HDMI cables and check if it works.
  • You can do Reset PC Keep my files from windows.
  • Check with any alternate monitor if available.
