Spectre x360 Gem Cut 13 Inch ap0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My new 13 inch Spectre laptop that I got this week has a yellow screen tint that came out of the box. There is no tint when turning on the privacy screen but when I'm not using it there is a major tint. There is also the problem of when I restart the laptop the screen goes a purple tint and stays like that for a couple of minutes before going back to the yellow tint. I have tried calibrating as best as possible but I cant seem to get a white. I have hooked it up to an external monitor and the monitor shows white correctly.

@tcd2,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I recommend you update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi There, thanks for replying to my problem.

Unfortunately, I have done both of your ideas and they didn't work. I'm also getting another problem with the screen as every time I turn on the computer or restart it, the screen goes a purple color and I have to manually go into display settings and change it back to what it was. Its a really good laptop but the screen is really letting it down. Is it down to the hardware?

Thanks

@tcd2,

I recommend you connect an external display to the computer and check whether the issue persists on the external display.

If yes, then I recommend you perform a system restore back to the date when everything was working fine.

Follow the steps in the below article to perform a system restore.

https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04758961

If the issue does not appear on the external display then boot to BIOS and check. If the issue persists in the BIOS as well then it is a hardware issue.
