Touchpad not working

15-ab297ur
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

Can anyone tell me, why touchpad does not working?

I tried download drivers from HP site, search related topics on this forum, but every time I see error code 24 in device's properties.

Also when I select "reboot" option, Windows shutting down and then notebook off's the power.

May be there is hardware trouble with my notebook?

Theese troubles I have since first logon to my computer.

Regards, Alexander.

Touchpad not working

hi @AlexanderM,

Please try to delete the Synaptics SMBus TouchPad.

Disconnect any devices that are connected by USB.

Restart the computer.

It should connect the drive correctly. If it does not, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a case for your issue and contact HP. If you live outside the US/Canada, please click the link below to get the contact information for your region.

Please keep me informed
