touchpad not working

Product Name: Spectre x2-12-a002tu
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi There,

 

I have just bought a new Spectre x2 which has Windows 10 installed. But the touchpad isnt working at all, when I go to settings, devises, Mouse and Touchpad there is no option for the touchpad.

 

I have installed the Synaptics touchpad driver from online but it hasnt helped

 

Any help would be great

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about problems with your new HP PC and wanted to help.

You should not be having problems with a PC this new.

While this PC is still under warranty, you should contact HP Customer Support directly to have them put you in touch with HP Technical Support to see what they can do about diagnosing and repairing your machine remotely.

I did this recently and the HP Tech was able to remotely access my PC from the Internet and do the needed repairs.

If HP can not fix it, then you should be able to insist on a replacement -- at no charge!
