HP 14-ac100na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I purchased the HP 14-ac100na for £100 on ebay and it came with windows 10 64 bit pre installed with 2gb of RAM and 32gb SSD which I presume it is soldered in. I found out they is no warranty for this laptop.

All I want is the Broadcom wifi driver to be installed, I already spoken to a member of the HP community and managed to get windows 8.1 embedded industry pro installed but when I look for the Broadcom Driver for Windows 7 it doesnt exist so I checked windows 10 and there is a driver for it and it is compatible with windows 7 64 bit and windows 10 64 bit but does not install so i went on complatiblity mode and changed to windows xp and stops halfway and crashes the driver installationimg_20170222_1815300_0pv51.jpg I have attached a picture for proof as I dont know how to get broadcom wifi driver to work.

Thanks,

Nandan

Hi, @AgentD21 :

Am I understanding you correctly that you need the W8.1 driver for the BCM M.2 card?

Your screenshot seems to show a W8.1 desktop.

The W8.1 driver that REO51ST posted won't work because that is the one for the dual band broadcom cards.

If so here it is...

Broadcom 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Driver   6.223.215.21 Rev.B   Oct 21, 2015

The package contains Broadcom Wireless LAN driver for supported notebook models running a supported operating system. Broadcom Wireless LAN driver is required to enable integrated Broadcom Wireless LAN adapter.

Hi,

These drivers are Broadcom Bluetooth Driver and Intel Chipset Driver. I want Wifi Drivers for Broadcom. I'm currently running this on ethernet but I need this laptop to take to college to do work but I need wifi in order to connect to the internet. Before I installed Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro, I can remember from the control panel which says Broadcom Wi-Fi Driver and the version I have is the M.2 Wifi Card on this laptop when I was trying to install the driver showed an error saying it requires a newer windows to run the driver for the model:

Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi M.2 adapter.
