HP Recommended
HP Envy dv6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have a HP Envy dv6 Notebook. I have just installed Windows 10 from Windows 7. I am now unable to connect to my home wifi. I have tried to look for drivers online however it still does not connect. Anyone able to advise? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Hi,

There are few options for your machine. It can be Intel, Realtek or Qualcomm . No available drivers for Windows 10

     http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-dv6-Notebook-PC-series/5296055/model/5304744

Can you use wired connection now ? If no, please download the following dirver and install to your computer. If yes, do to a):

     http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=ob_126558_1

Then

(a) Run Windows update, Windows 10 should be able to find the right driver for you

    or

(b) Get its hardware id then post back. The following link shows you how to get hardware id

Hi,

Are you sure you get

   PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0DE9&SUBSYS_181B103C&REV_A1

From Network dapters section ? Looks like you get hardware id of

NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M (2 GB DDR3 dedicated)

Please try again.

Regards.
