Pavilion zd8000 CTO
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Have an old unsupported Pavilion zd8000, been good thru last 10 years and Windows versions. Suddenly on last release (1709) of Win10, it doesn't recognize Ethernet or Wi-Fi, no icons nor ways to configure. When I go back to old Win10 that I've been running, both ethernet and wifi are back. I'd stay on that old release, but Win Update keeps trying to install new version!

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi

Are they hidden Devices in Device Manager?

Hidden Devices.png

If so then driver(s) install may be possible.

Are these the devices that go missing?

  • Realtek RTL8193 10/100 Ethernet LAN
  • Broadcom 802.11b/g Wireless LAN

If not could you specify what details you have?

Hi, CF4 PhD Student,

this is what I have in Device Manager, exactly:

Realtek RTL8139/810x  Family Fast Ethernet NIC,  and...

Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter.

I hope that helps,  and thanks in advance,

elTury.

Hi

Unfortunately I have not been able to find anything suitable.

Perhaps a USB type adapter may work.
