Can't Do Factory Restore on new Windows 10 computer 17-g113dx

HP Recommended
Pavilion 17-g113dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to do f actory restore on my new computer with Windows 10 installed at the factory.

When I go to Recovery Manager, and choose the HP Recovery Environment, there is no option for factory restore.  When I select the Use a Device option, I choose DVD( because I did make Recovery Disks), I get a message that the" selected boot device failed".  I tried starting the computer using F8 or F11 and that doesn't work either.

I'm ready to pull my hair out, does anyone have the answer?

Thank you in advance for help and suggestions.

Hello,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.

Here are the official instructions for the restore/recovery >> http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04758961

Please, double check, there should be an option, it may be called somewhat different.

If you still do not see it, please take a screenshot/picture of the windows and attach it here in your next post >> http://www.take-a-screenshot.org

There was no option for doing a factory restore in the Recovery Manager category.  I did download the link you sent me for doing a factory recovery using the SP for notebooks and it worked beautifully.  It put the factory recovery in the System Restore section when I checked there earlier there was no option.

The factory restore has been done, it did take about 4-5 hours to do, but now I'm a happy camper again .

Thank you ever so much for this information.
