Computer failing to upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10

00426-OEM-8992662-00010
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

MY pc cannot upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10 apparently because "the display is not compatible with windows 10". it further goes on to say 'check with device manufacturer'. what could be the problem?

Computer failing to upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10

Silubaby

 Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

I read your post about being prevented from doing the Win10 Upgrade and wanted to help -- but need more information.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but not all the older PCs do well with the Win10 Upgrade, due primarily to the lack of HP Win10 drivers for the hardware present in those PCs.

Without your detailed product number, I can not confirm whether or not HP has Win10 drivers for your PC, so please follow the directions in this link to find the detailed product number of your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824?jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0001

If that is not possible, then look for a sticker on the PC that includes the product number and post that here.  If the battery is removable, the sticker is likely to be in the battery compartment.

We can proceed once you provide the information.

Thanks
