Function keys not working

15-ay014dx touch screen laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The top level of keys on my keyboard aren't working (function keys), and a couple letters have trouble typing too. I have tried a few different things, but so far nothing has gotten them to work. Do you have any recommendations? I would love to have full access to all the keys, especially because this computer is less than 6 months old.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Function keys not working

Hello!

Did you try a different keyboard to see if that works?

If you test the other keyboard and it does the same thing, then you got bigger problems.

All you can really try to do is unplug your keyboard and clean it out carefully. If that doesn't solve the problem, you might just have to buy another keyboard.

Function keys not working

Hello!

I have a laptop, so changing the keyboard would be quite difficult. Do you have any ideas of how to reset of fix the keyboard on my laptop?

Thanks!

Function keys not working

I am so sorry, I thought I was in the desktop section.

At the moment this problem is beyond my abilities to fix.
