I am also having the same problem, with audio sound coming as a robot and video images getting stuck.
I bought this laptop 2 months ago and facing this problem from 1 month ago. The engineer has installed different softwares, replaced speakers, mother board, and now the want want to format it. When the engineer came home today to format it, it seemed that the recovery system was also not proper and in the Mumbai service center they do not even have a recovery system, they have to bring it from Bangalore and it will reach Mumbai only on Wed, 11th Jan, so that means that again we need to wait for 5 more days only to get it formatted... Also, the customer care told us that the last option before repacemente was changing the mother board, but also after changing the mother board the have come up with the new idea of formatting. After that, what will they want to do before replacement?? Keep changing pieces without the problem getting sorted in a 2 monhts old laptop only???
I cannot believe this kind of service from HP and will never ever again buy and trust any HP product and will make sure that my relatives and friends never purchase an HP product

Do you mean that you have created your own plan of power option by choosing the high performance option??
I have changed it, let's see what happens... because the matter is that this problem also does not happen 100% of the times, but just randomly... :womanfrustrated:
Let's see if it works, will give you a feedback in few hours or days... hopefully it works...
Thanks a lot for the kudos!!!

HI, WHAT I MEAN TO SAY IS CHOOSE HIGH PERFORMANCE POWER IN YOUR CONTROL PANEL OPTIONS, BUT DO NOT CUTOMISE IT AT ALL, JUST USE THE DEFAULT OPTIONS.
I CHANGED THE POWER OPTION ON MINE A WEEK AGO AND IT IS WORKING A TREAT NOW.

this works fantastic... ive had this problem.. its a brand new laptop and been on going problem since new.. ive returned it to store had all the headaches ..
then i finally stumbled on this post and magic all sorted i would like to thank u so much #
this is the end to my nightmare hopefully no more probs as support just isnt here for us
eg i brought this from crrys/dixons/pc world and hp do not do any warrenty on these machines as store buys them cheap and i have to have warranty through them .. almost like punishment i am not entitled to hp support just for purchasing from one of these stores..
I WILL NEVER BUY HP AGAIN .. BUT HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT FOR NOW.. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!!
just one thing i would like to add to fix this problem it was control panel then
HP POWER OPTIONS
THEN HIGH PERFORMANCE
i was trying through windows power options and was getting no where
but as i said all fixed thank you so much..
