How do I turn my cursor solid black?

I can't find any way to make the cursor solid black.  As it is now, I lose if regularly and need to be able to find it more quickly.  I am using hp pavilion hp6700 notebook. Is there an easy fix like there used to be?  lsafron

Control panel -> Mouse -> Pointers

Near the top, in the drop down menu "Scheme", look for "windows black" or something of that sort.
