OK... I have an HP Laptop gersies G7.

For some reason I turned it on one day and everything I did was a right clock except for when I right click. And its weird because it only actually brings up the typical right clock window when I'm doing anything associated directly with windows. i.e. when I click the homescreen, or a shortcut on the homescreen when I click anything in the start bar.

However, when I use it on the internet or most any other application or program it seems to be find except for the fact the I can't switch between tabs in google chrome and I can't click the address bar unless I start a new tab.

It seems like this issue is extremely selective. Also I can't two finger scroll or zoom in.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, rollback, then update. Hard reset, removing the battery, semi aggressive hitting, restarting just in general. There was 5 minutes when it was working perfectly then it messed up again...I need some major help please!!!!

Hello Cage3000, welcome to the HP Forums.

It appears that you're having an issue with how the touchpad works with your notebook. I will try to assist you with this.

The title indicates the issue is with both the touchpad and a mouse, is that correct?

I would recommend starting with this document:
Using and Configuring the TouchPad (Windows 7 and Vista) - it does provide troubleshooting steps and settings to verify are correct.

You can also check to see if there are any updates available using the HP Support Assistant.

If you need assistance beyond that, please provide the model and product numbers for the notebook. Also, the currently installed operating system.

Please let me know how you make out.
Thank you for posting on the HP Forums.

I worked on behalf of HP.
