Hi:

Your notebook is not supported by HP for Windows XP.

There are no XP drivers for the Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination WLAN adapter your notebook has.

Realtek never developed any,

If you want everything to work, the oldest operating system you can install on that model is W7 64 bit.

Not a problem.

I was wondering how you even managed to get XP installed on that new machine.  :generic:

Here are the links to the wifi and bluetooth drivers you need...

This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE wireless LAN Controller in the supported notebook models running a supported operating system.

File name: sp72932.exe

You're very welcome.

If you also need the ethernet driver for the lan cable, you need this one...

This package provides the Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver that enables the Realtek Network Interface Card (NIC) Chip in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

File name: sp71268.exe

Paul,

I reinstalled Win 7 Pro 64bit from cd on my HP Pavilion g6-1b50us (AMD Phenom II P650) after HDD died.  All seems good except for no ethernet driver.  HP driver site says no drivers available.  Will sp71268.exe work for me also?
