Pavilion G7 1329wm replace processor & RAM

Pavilion G7-1329wm
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Well, after 4 years my fan died and I will be replacing it with this one: Eathtek CPU Fan for g7-1329wm
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GOWG750/ref=ox_sc_act_image_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2H3QE25AGJEMY

I upgraded the HDD to an SDD a year ago and it made a world of difference. Now my with my new upgrades my questions are:
1. What do you recommend I replace the RAM with? Can I buy an 8 gig stick and have it work well with the 4 gigs that came with the laptop for 12 gigs in total?
2. Is it possible to upgrade the CPU? Is it soldered on? Will it make much of a difference? Also, if you would be so kind as to show me how you found out what other processors my laptop supports, I would greatly appreciate it 🙂
3. Any other advice for me in doing this work myself?

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for the help.

Pavilion G7 1329wm replace processor & RAM

Hi,

You can find all answers in the last Guide of the following link:

     http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-g7-Notebook-PC-series/5186814/model/5218723/manuals

and

   http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-g7-Notebook-PC-series/5186814/model/5218723/document...

(a) Max for RAM: 8GB, you can add 4Gb to make 8Gb

(b) You may have to buy new motherboard (very expensive),

(c) Save more money to buy a new machine.

Regards.
