Hi:

See if this software works for you...

This package contains the HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software for the supported notebook models and operating systems. This software protects identity information and account access using the computer owner's fingerprint.

File name: sp71729.exe

That or you can try the W10 Client Security Manager software which replaced the Protect tools software...

But if all you really want to do is enroll your fingerprint, try the simple pass software first.

HP Simple pass doesn't work

It just ask for a master password that i can use on my website as unique Id but without using Finger identification 😞

It seems doesn't recognize the Validity FInger device ...

Try the client security manager software then.

If that doesn't work, then you probably will have to live without that feature when running W10.

I know.

And that is why if you don't see W10 drivers and software on the support page, it means that HP is not going to offer support for W10, so you have to resort to experimenting with things in hope to find a working solution.

Sometimes we will not be able to.

Ok it seems better

But when i try to register the first finger.

First scan ok, progress bar not complete so i scan a second time ... and a tree time (the same finger) to complete the progress bar

And after the last 25% it says finger already register ...

Did you try an updated fingerprint driver for the hardware?

This one is from the Elitebook 850 G1 which is a few models newer than yours.
