See if this software works for you...
This package contains the HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software for the supported notebook models and operating systems. This software protects identity information and account access using the computer owner's fingerprint.
File name: sp71729.exe

On Windows 7 pro i had HP Protect Tool utilities with DIsk Encryption, Biometric identifcation ...
But when i check on HP SUpport there were no windows 10 choice and on windows 8.1 choice it says that there were no security application ...
I will try to use your product.

That or you can try the W10 Client Security Manager software which replaced the Protect tools software...
But if all you really want to do is enroll your fingerprint, try the simple pass software first.

And that is why if you don't see W10 drivers and software on the support page, it means that HP is not going to offer support for W10, so you have to resort to experimenting with things in hope to find a working solution.
Sometimes we will not be able to.

Did you try an updated fingerprint driver for the hardware?
This one is from the Elitebook 850 G1 which is a few models newer than yours.
