Still NO driver over at HP for the people with this dumb A 7690m xt and Intel 3000 for W8, Still nothing from AMD on this Enduro stuff supporting this card of theirs. I'm already looking for a new laptop with Gforce and NVIDIA, so I can once and for all release myself from this BS looking for "support" for this "Radeon" card and this insane switchable crap. Its bad enough with W8 and the other BS you have to deal with and their GUI and making it a PITA for non touch screen, keyboard mouse users. They need to relive a few more MS heads, and a few developers for not adding a W7 type desktop option.
I'm talking about this HP dv7t-6c00 entertainment notebook CTO, I'm still wondering about the "entertainment" part when the driver is dtd Nov 2011 (W7) it has all the bells and whistles, incl a nice 1920x1080 res screen. be as it may, this may not be the last HP, as I just go with what I can get cheap, but it WILL be my last AMD/ATI product unit, I have learned another lesson, I'm just lucky it didn't run me 1000+ as some, I ended up after all the dust settled at 360. So I can deal with the BS as it is, If I need to I will just get another laptop down the road with Windows 8 on it and a 'GFORCE" gpu.
This is my first laptoip, and I guess I had a learning curve. So lets see what transpires on all this, Windows 8 is still a bit new, although HP and other manufactures have had ample time to produce and post adequate drivers for their product.

Hoody you are unbelievable
cheap or not, I'll never EVER buy any HP product nor will advise it / suggest it to anyone
I guess I'm rather old fashioned, I don't buy new stuff every year. and I'm definitely interested in a product with a good support background ... that would address customers and listen to their issues and actually do something!
The only great thing about " apple " stuff is that an upgrade in any OS, laps, taps, or even mobile phones, it includes all products, old and new, even with bugs and issues, they don't get much time to be fixed.
Microsoft does a great job, I gotta admit. But manufacturers like HP ... are terrible when it comes to support

Thank you. It worked and according to "DirectX Diagnostics" the AMD RADEON 6470M is the primary display.
One thimg that does not work is thatwhen the computer goes on to battery power the option of changing to the Intel display does not pop up.
Computer HP Pavilion G6 - 1070s Product No: LD055EA#ABT.
Again, thank you.

Hi,
I download the file - sp59438.exe from this link:
and I ran the exe and installed it. The (!) against the RADEON 7000M has gone and RADEON 6740M is now in place and working. During the installation the screen when blank and changed to the RADEON. I confirmed this with the DrectX diag tool.
Hope this helps and it works for you.
