error message

HP Recommended

On startup, I receive an 00A error message saying that product information programmed into system board is missing or invalid. I am missing the product name, product configuration, product serial number  and product number on startup. How do I fix?

What is the model of your notebook? During boot, keep tapping F10 key to get into the BIOS screen, and check if you can find the unit details mentioned in the BIOS (Serial number, UUID, product number etc).

In case this information is missing in the BIOS too, you need to call up support to have this information retatooed into the motherboard.

Although I am an HP Employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Make it easier for other people to find solutions, by marking my answer “Accept as Solution” if it solves your problem.
