qlbctrl.exe high memory usage

Hello. Lately my laptop has been running at very high memory usage. It is not uncommon for it to run 90-100% depending on what I am doing. Even when it is idle it runs at atleast 50%. Right now it is at 53%.

When I open task manager and look at the processes there is something called QLBCTRL.exe that is constantly using 50% memory usage. Under description it says "Quick Launch Buttons."

I have a pavillion dv5 1002nr. Tried to do some research but I can't seem to find anything or anyone with this exact problem. I am afraid to tinker with the exe because it said it is important or critical.

Thanks.
