Good evening,

I have a HP Inkjet 9010 series  All-In-One Printer.  The printer cartridge is currently jammed and I cannot get it to work.  There are no paper jams, or obstructions, however, it appears that the ink cartridges may have "popped out" and will not allow it to move.  I'm unable to get the carriage to move so that I may correct the ink cartridges and get it working again.  Can anyone help?

Hi @smiles4jc,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Good evening! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your HP Inkjet 9010 series printer. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the carriage jam:

Turn Off the Printer: Start by turning off the printer. This can help reset the components and may prevent damage when you try to fix the jam.

Open the Printer Access Door: Locate the access door or panel used to reach the ink cartridges. This is typically found on the front of the printer.

Manually Move the Carriage: Carefully try to move the carriage. Sometimes, turning off the printer will allow you to manually move it to the center or to a more accessible position. If it doesn’t move easily, don’t force it.

Check for Obstructions: With the carriage more accessible, check for any obstructions in the path of the carriage. This includes any torn pieces of paper, paper clips, or even accumulated dust.

Reposition the Ink Cartridges: If the cartridges have indeed popped out of their correct position, try to gently reinsert them into their designated slots. Make sure they click into place.

Close the Access Door: Once everything is cleared and the cartridges are securely in place, close the printer access door.

Turn on the Printer: Power on your printer and wait for it to initialize. Check to see if the carriage moves freely now.

Run a Test Print: Once everything is set up, try running a test print to ensure that the printer is functioning correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
