Incompatible OS?

HP Recommended
xps 1330 and HP 3632
Microsoft Windows Vista

I can print from Word but not from Internet, shopping invoices, confirmations etc. Saves page in documents but won't print.  Notice on screen says OS not supported but the box it came in last year listed Vista.  Not using WiFi, i use the cable direct hook up.

Good Day. Thank you for taking an interest in the HP community. I understand that you require assistance regarding not able to print from the internet as it says the OS is not compatible. I will be really glad to assist you here. 🙂

Fabulous description and superb diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. )

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:

  • Was it printing correctly before?

 

For now please try these steps:

  • Please download a different Browser like Google Chrome or Firefox and check again.
  • This might do the trick for you.
  • Otherwise, try to download the image and try to print it.
  • Lastly, try printing from the Windows Built-in drivers by installing it by following instructions from this link: and check if the issue gets fixed.
  • If it still does not work, then it is a limitation of the operating system as it is an older OS.

 

Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat.
