Product: hp deskjet 1000 printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I need to install urgently a printer on a old computer windows xp the does not have internet connection and we lost the instalation disk. the printer is a HP deskjet 1000. 

Please let me know what I can do about this matter

Hi Raquel,

You'll must install the HP drivers first.

 

As you do not have internet conenctivity or a CD drive, download the following drivers fro another PC with an internet connection:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL34557/dj-109016-3/DJ1000_J110_1313-1.exe

 

Using a USB stick copy the file to your Windows XP PC and follow the installation, do not plug the USB till the isntallation prompt to.

 

Be aware that Service Pack 3 must be installed for a Windows XP PC for the printer software to work, follow these steps to check your PC meets the pritner system requirements:
