Printer just stopped working over the last week. Says it is printing but it takes hours to print one page - seems to be related to the most recent firmware update which I have installed

As I understand, your printing is printing very slow after Firmware Update,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
Have you tried any troubleshooting?
Does this happen while making a photocopy?
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue: Click here
Step 1: Reset the printer
Step 2: Check the print driver settings
Step 3: Uninstall the print driver
Step 4: Reinstall the print driver
Step 6: Check the network status (wired and wireless connections only)

Let's find out if its connectivity issue or slow printing:
Please print the Printer Status Report:
From the Home screen, touch (right arrow), and then touch Setup. Touch Reports, and then touch Printer Status Report.
Let me know if it prints slow.
