HP Deskjet 3520
macOS 10.12 Sierra

When using HP Scan on my MacBook (OS 10.12.3) with my HP Deskjet 3520, I can't save any scans (save button is greyed out).

I reinstalled HP Easy Start and re-set up and assigned the right drivers on the mac, no firmware was listed on the website for the printer itself.

I tried to check for product updates on the printer itself, but it says "Connection Error: The printer could not connect to the Internet. Check the Internet connection".

The printer is connected to the router though, we can print/scan from computers on the network and I see it listed as a connected device on my router web portal.

Hi,
From your Applications folder or its HP subfolder delete any existing HP Scan or HP Easy Scan application, delete it by moving it to trash, then empty the trash.

Next install the latest HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed within the Applications folder:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_...

Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.

Regards,
Shlomi

Thanks for your tips ShlomiL,

It turns out my problem was using HP Scan instead of HP Easy Scan,

I didnt have to delete and re-install anything,

Its all working properly now!
