Error 1627

I have tried both a USB and a wireless install. Both online and from the disk. It always goes through the installation and then I get a message saying Install failed and the error

"Call to DriverPackageInstall returned error 1627 for package C:\Program Files\HP\HP DeskJet 3510 series\DriverStore\Pipeline\hpvpl09.inf"

I have run the Diagnostic tool and didn't get anywhere. I can add the printer manually via usb but cannot print a test page from the computer. I can print a quick form from the printer though.

Re: Error 1627

Sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Here is a link that (Jason_H) provided that helps a lot. I know this says Solution Center, but the steps are very helpful.

Let me know if this helps, thanks.

Re: Error 1627

I am getting the same exact error code.

I was able to use this printer just fine.  And then one day my computer said it couldn't find it.

Have you had any luck?

Re: Error 1627

@MsBrandey, sorry that you are having the same issue.

Did you try the link above to get it resolved?

Try to disable your firewall and anti-virus.

Re: Error 1627

Has anyone found a solution?  I've just purchased the HP Deskjet 3511 and also get this error message.  Tried the troubleshoot several times with same results....

Re: Error 1627

Could you please check Device Manager and let us know if it is blank or any yellow bangs you see. If you see any yellow bangs, right click on it and uninstall and if it is blank try to uninstall the anti-virus SW and try to install (To install Explore the CD and look for DJ351x64.msi or DJ351x86.msi right click and click install) if the installation is sucessfull you will see the printer icon on the desktop through which you will be able to add the Printer.

let me know how it goes

Re: Error 1627

The Device Manager is blank.  I'm not sure what a yellow bang is?  I uninstalled the anti-virus software and followed your instructions to install the file from the disk.  Unfortunately, this did not work.  Smiley Sad

Re: Error 1627

Most likely 'Device Manager' is the issue as it is not suppose to be blank. Which OS are you using?
