HP 4345 printer/scanner error code 6008: error component: 0110 when scanning to a network path

I have an HP 4345 HP printer/scanner.   Recently we removed a windows 2003 DC/file server and switched to a Ubuntu/Zentyal server (using Samba version 4) to replace the old windows server.  The scanner scan to the network share without issues.  Until we had to reboot the device.  If we point the scanner to a windows 2012 DC the job will complete and write to the directory on the Ubuntu/Zentual server.  If we point the scanner directly to the Ubuntu server we recieve the following error from the HP 4345 printer.

\\voyager\common\Inbound\results <\\voyager\common\inbound\results\[untitled].pdf> (The WINS server or NTLM authenication settings need to be properly configured.)  error code 6008: error component: 0110

We did not have WINS running on the network previously and did not any issues.  And the unit scanned to the new Ubuntu server without issues until the reboot.  We added WINS server to the network and it did not resolve the issue.  Is there a place to change the NTLM authenication setting on the printer or what is the default NTLM authenication setting?
