HP 6500A

Without changing anything on my Apple mac computor or my HP office jet printer I am unable to print a word document sent to me as a attachment by email.

I tried to print another word document that had some text coppied from the internet (an on line Bible) and whilst it printed the document, it printed out in grey not black and ommitted the text that had been coppied in from the online Bible.

 

I have plenty of ink in the printer. my paper supply has not changed. I have cleaned the print heads twice and tried the allingment to no avail.

 

It seem to be a software problem???? please help

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you are facing print quality issues with printing documents from the web.

 

In order to isolate the issue between the hardware and the software of the unit, you need to print a diagnostic page and check.

 

Steps to Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report:

1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button () until Print Report displays, and then press OK.

2. Press the Right Arrow button () to select Print Quality Report, and then press OK. The report prints.

 

3. Check the test page for defects from the link: Print Quality Issues

 

If the print quality report is fine, then let us know the operating system installed on the computer from the links below to update the drivers: 

 

1. Click Here If Windows Operating System is installed

2. Click Here If Mac Operating System is installed
