Thnaks DavidSMP/HP,

The device makes acceptable copies, though the black is poor, likely due to a dry cartridge that hasn't been tapped in many months.  I bought the printer 18 months ago, out of warranty, and only sparingly used it since.

I've deleted and added the printer multiple times and see no point in doing it for a 4th or 5th time.

Additionally, I hesitate to Reset the Printing System for fear that I'll clobber the fully functional printer in my other office.  I've already spent hours futzing with this one, and really can't afford spending time re-installing (ahd, who knows, further futzing with) a working device.

At this point I'm willing to spend another 15 minutes only on this problem; the value of my time has already far exceeded the value of the device.

I miss Bill and Dave ...

@razride

Thank you for the update,
I appreciate your time and efforts,

The resetting of printer system is always the last resort to fix such issues,

And when done, it would be set back to factory defaults and reinstallation of the drivers/Softwares should get the printer up and working without any of these issues.

If you've attempted the partial reset using the control panel settings and the issue persists,

Please let me know as I would be glad to send you a private message to perform a Semi-Full Reset and ensure a complete fix.

Awaiting your reply.

Feel free to post your query for any other assistance as well,

It's been a pleasure interacting with your and I hope you have a good day ahead.
