HP Recommended
HP Officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Every time I need to rpint a document I have to power off the printer and re-power it back on for it to connect and print a document.  The printer sits next to the router and seems to work fine but having to re-power the darn thing everytime bothers me ... can you help?

Hi,

Thanks for using the forum

Have you downloaded and installed the FULL feature software?

 Here's the link for WIn 10 :

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-4630-e-all-in-one-printer-series/530504...

Once you have installed, you should be able to print and scan.

If you're still seeing the issue, can you try this ;

Create a TCP IP port

  1. Print a Configuration Page to get the printer's IPv4 address (you can also tap on the wireless icon on the Front panel of your Printer to get the IP address)
  2. On your PC, go to Control Panel, from Devices and Printers, right click the printer and left click Printer Properties, select the Ports tab.
  3. Click Add Port, select Standard TCP/IP Port, then select New Port and follow the wizard.
  4. Type in the proper IP address for the printer.

Note that you can ALWAYS revert back to the original port that the HP software installed by selecting the HP port under the Ports tab (in Printer Properties)

Hope that helps!
