I am mostly happy with the printer. It is connected to the phone line and the phone is connected to the AUX port (just in case that I might need a fax someday, though used it maybe twice in 8 years on my old MFP =). Fax is set to manual.

The problem is that any touch on the screen (even random touch or menu action) or any phone line activity (incoming or outgoing calls) wakes the printer up from the power saving mode causing a lot of noise from the fan and from the printer mechanics. Pretty annoying, especially in the night.

Can this wake-up activity be disabled somehow? I.e., only wake up display and control unit, do not turn on fan and mechanics until they are really needed?

That is probably a suggestion for the firmware update 😃
