HP DeskJet GT 5820
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi having trouble while printing the photos on this printer, the photos are very dull and hazy, the actual colors in the phot are not getting displayed.

Have checked the ink tank levels etc. unistalled and re-installed the drivers and software, ran the HP printer assistant for cleaning the printheads and resetting, but still the result is the same.

In the diagnostic print page the magenta ink is not getting printed and the ink tank of Magenta is full, b ut the scan tools say the inks are depleted.

Just bought the printer a month back and have started printing now.

Can anyone provide me with the solution.

thanks

Sanjay, Hyd, India

Hello, @san5126 – Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for joining the HP Forums! I'd be happy to help you with your printer issue!

Going through your post, I see that you are getting bad print quality while printing photos on your Deskjet printer.

To assist you with this issue, I need to know whether the printer can make a "Photocopy" or not. Place a color document face down on the scanner glass and press the color copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not.

If the color copy also comes out dull, then go to http://hp.care/2oBlkOd and perform the steps listed under Step 2, 8 and 9.

Those steps should do the trick, let me know the outcome!

Good luck 🙂
