LJ 3055
Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks

I am looking for a way to get the SCAN feature of my LJ 3055 'back' so that I can use it.

HP stopped providing drivers for the unit long ago, and I know of no 3rd party drivers for it on the Mac, but based on the following I am wondering whether there is in fact a solution:

I saw an old message thread here about a workaround for getting the LJ 3055 to scan in OS X Lion.

I am wondering whether the same solution works in OS X 10.9.5 (Mavericks), or if not, whether a similar solution is available, and if so where I can find it.

The mentioned message thread, which was answered by Shlomi ("ShlomiL"), was:

"Workaround for scanner for HP 3055 running OSX Lion 10.7?"

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
