HP all-in-one photosmart premi
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)
  1. my printer is a HP photosmart premium C310a and I can not get it to align. I've put in new black catridges and the main black cartridge will not work. I've tried multiple times to clean the cartridges and align them. It keeps giving me the "Alignment Failure" message. Can you help me?I think I have Windows 8.1    How do I check that?

Hi @chcruzin,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I understand you are getting an 'Alignment failed' error on your HP Photosmart C310a. You have tried aligning and cleaning the cartridges with no success.

I would like you to continue troubleshooting here: Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Photosmart Premium

Now I know you are not getting this exact error, but I would like you to clean the printhead to see if this helps:  'Printhead Problem' or 'Printhead Appears to be Missing or Damaged'

What is the outcome, are you now able to complete a successful alignment:  Alignment Page Does Not Print Issue

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
