HP G62-373DX
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello there,

I just did a clean install on my laptop and attempted to download the drivers. I downloaded the drivers directly from the HP site from this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-G62-Notebook-PC-series/4247529/model/5042898

Yet, it appears that my display, wireless hardware are still not working. My screen still has a zoomed view originally from the clean install, and I am unable to connect to my network. Not sure how else I can check what's going wrong.

Attached is an image of my desktop with all the drivers that I installed. img_2202 (1).jpg

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I see some of the right drivers there but you definitely need this one for video:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp48001-48500/sp48275.exe

This one for wired ethernet:

To figure out which wifi you have we are going to need to check the device ID in device manager but the wired driver above will at least get you on the internet.

Both Drivers worked thank you! 🙂

For Network Controller, the Hardware Id is:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8171&SUBSYS_1467103C&REV_10

For PCI Simple Communications Controller, Hardware Id is:

PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_3B64&SUBSYS_1425103C&REV_06

You are awesome!!

Both those drivers worked! Thank you!!

One last question. I was thinking about upgrading the OS to Windows 10. Do you know if this would be possible for this laptop model? I don't see any drivers available for Windows 10, so I just assumed it's not compatible.

Much appreciation!

There are some issues with the Intel HD video in that generation hardware. Windows 10 does not offer a fully compatible video driver. Frankly we have a lot of people trying to downgrade from Windows 10 (I personally like Windows 10) and I am not sure you would have anything to gain by going to Windows 10.
