HP LaserJet Professional M1132 MFP
Ubuntu LTS

Hi HP Community,

HP-LaserJet-Professional-M1132-MFP is not printing. (OS: Ubuntu LTS 20.04, Connection: USB cord). After clicking Print icon, nothing prints. I get "Unknown error" status for the printing job, code 1018. And another code 501 for the "Print job has completed ".

I get these warnings (from HPLIP driver diagnostics), quoting :

" warning: Failed to read /etc/cups/ppd/HP-LaserJet-Professional-M1132-MFP.ppd ppd file "

and

" Checking for Configured Queues....

warning: Fail to read ppd=/etc/cups/ppd/HP-LaserJet-Professional-M1132-MFP.ppd file

warning: Insufficient permission to access file /etc/cups/ppd/HP-LaserJet-Professional-M1132-MFP.ppd

warning: Could not complete Queue(s) configuration check  "

It scans ok in Ubuntu though. The Laserjet also prints, scans and makes copies in Windows 10 just fine.

I reinstalled HP Device manager multiple times to the system I’m using. Nothing. I searched the internet for a solution for days and days. Nothing seems to fix it. Is it fixable?

Is there a solution to this issue or not? Thank you all for any suggestions.
