Samsung Xpress SL-C480 Color Laser MFP

The printer C480fw is connected to the network via LAN. For security reasons, I have deactivated WLAN in the printer settings on the printer's SyncThru homepage. This resulted in the disappearance of all WLAN optionsincluding the clickbox to reactivate WLAN.

 

Afterwards,printer  status LED is flashing orange when idle, and an error message as warning appears on SyncThru status page:

 

Severity: Warning Status Code: S1-5221 Description: S1-5221 The wired network card was not installed properly. User intervention is required to install the wireless network card. Wireless network operations are disabled, wired network printing may be currently available. Skill Level: Customer Service

 

How can I remove or reset the error message, and access the WLAN activation option again?

These generic tips don't address the issue at all.

 

To recap:

 

* Wireless was switched off

* everything wireless from the status page disappeared, no reactivation possible

* printer shows error message

 

How to get rid of error message and ability to reactivate wireless?

 

Or is there a way to factory-reset the printer? Power cycling didn't help.

Yes, that is the starting point for me  on page 119. Manual says:

 

Install wireless NIC - There is a problem on the network interface. Turn the power switch off and on. If the problem persists, call for service.

 

I have done this, I want to know what to do now. I want to service the machine myself. Please let me know a reset method NOT documented in the manual, a link to the service manual would also be much appreciated to solve the problem.

I am having the same problem.   Please let me know how to fix.  I have the C480FW.  This is a wireless printer, but the wireless is not working, all the wireless settings are mssing from the interface, and this strangely worded alert won't go away.
