Deskjet 4645
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

hi. I've owned the HP deskjet 4645 for several years. Recently it stopped scanning multipage documents via the ADF. It only scans the first page, and rolls the other pages through the feeder without scanning. The resulted scan file with the first page only is created immediately after the first page went through.

I've tried fully uninstalling and reinstalling the original driver - didn't solve the problem. Tried the same with HP Smart - but it didn't recognize my printer through the USB connection, only the original driver did. Disconnected power cord, changed USB port...

Firmware was updated 3 years ago, there are no new updates.

Nothing changed in my computer, the problem started several months ago.

I saw many other posts with similar problem but no solution.

Please help!
