Has anyone had any issues with scanning since upgrading there operating system to Windows 11 ? When I go to the HP Smart App and click on SCAN I get an error saying SCANNING IS CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE.
However when I plug my Windows 10 laptop into the printer and click SCAN I have no problems.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I am using Version 132.3.262.0 of the HP Smart App.

Hello @XOMusicLtd ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Try first this:
- shut down printer via on/off switch
- switch off the router
- shut down the computer
- wait about 60 sec.
- switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
- Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
- switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.
... and now everything's working again?
If that doesn't help, here's what you need to do:
- Uninstall HP printer software, and then remove the printer from your Devices list.
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- download only this complete package: HP ENVY Photo 7800 All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories
- Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads click on the EXE
- The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the PC again
- Now the installation is complete.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
