Nor me. In fact now it refuses to recognise the network folder whatever I do.

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are unable to do scan to network folder. I would like to help you resolve this issue. 

 

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

Provide the printer model number or  the product number?

How is the printer connected to computer, wired or wireless?

 

Meanwhile:

 

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Reply with the result of the above-mentioned steps, for further assistance.

Really? You don’t think all of this has been done? I’ve been on the phone 4 days in a row at least 2 hours each time with a lead tech support from HP. I’ve even had an Apple Tech on the phone with the HP rep.

The problem is that HP has not updated their software since Apple upgraded to High Sierra. As soon as that gets taken care of, the issue will be resolved.

HP:

 

Please do not patronize us with your “canned” solutions to our problem of scanning to a network folder.  The latest “solution” from HP, to power reset the printer, is a joke.  One would laugh, but after several months, and failed attempts at HP to fix the problem, leaves me laugh less.

 

The solution is NOT to reset the printer, turn on/off the computer, etc.  Everything was working perfectly under Mac OS Sierra.  For some unknown reason, the scanning to network folder feature of the printer in Mac OS High Sierra was broken.  

 

How long do we have to wait for a “real solution?”  Scanning to email, to a thumb drive, etc. is not the solution.

You've got 5 pages of people complaining about the same issue....is it really that hard for HP to recreate the problem and then figure it out?
