Solved!

FAQ(30): Can SDM save to model named directories?

HP Recommended

I would like to keep SoftPaqs separate by model name.

In the Tools/Configuration Options, there is a way to download SoftPaqs and separate them by SoftPaq Names. Is there a way to separate them by models/product name?

No, but you can download and save SoftPaqs to different download directories (directories can be named anything, including model names) by making use of SDM configuations in "All Products" and "Build Driver Pack" SDM modes.

To do this, select the model(s) you want to, then go to Tools/Configuration Options and change name of the download directory to the model name/number. When you have set up the configuration how you like, save it by selecting File/Save Product Configuration or File/Save As. We would recommend to save all your SDM configurations to the same folder for easy selection.

When you are ready to load a configuration, just select File/Load Product Configuration.

For more information on SDM Configurations, please refer to the Help in the application.
