wireless mouse and keyboard suddenly stopped working

HP Recommended

Hi,

I have a wireless mouse (MG-0982) and wireless keyboard (KG-1061) connected to my HP computer through a wireless receiver (RG-0983) for years. The other day, the keyboard and mouse just stopped working. I suspected it was because I was reinstalling a printer, but when I tried connecting it to my laptop, and they don't seem to install properly either. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jerome

Hello @baritono,

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More.

If your wireless keyboard and mouse do not work on your HP computer and your laptop I suspect that your wireless keyboard and mouse (I assume use the same dongle) are the issue and need to be replaced. If it were on just the HP computer or on the laptop I would suggest troubleshooting, but when the same device does not work on more than one computer the problem is not on the computers but the device itself.

I hope this helps. Thank you for your post on the HP Forums. Have a great day!
