Are viruses and security potential issues?

I was just wondering how secure the TP is?

Well, no device is totally secure. Right now webOS's market share is small and thus it's a small target on the evildoers' list. At this time there is no antivirus app for the TP and, honestly, there's probably no need for one for quite some time.  Heck, there isn't any antivirus for the iPad either.

Hi, I just got my HP touchPad. Just wanted to ask is there an antivirus that I can download to so that I can prevent downloading files with virus? Thanks!

No AV programs are available for webOS that I know of.  There really isn't any need for one yet, since the OS is pretty secure.  🙂

Or do you mean that there's not been any number of people attacking it yet.

No OS that I'm aware of is totally secure. It's just a matter of how many virus creators are attempting to compromise it.

I have no idea.  Perhaps you could ask the person who said that for a clarification.
