It might take a couple of minutes. Are you sure that your Touchpad has a good charge?

Have u check the cable? Just in case. I had an issue with the USB cable that in certain position it will not charge. I switched the cable with my cell phone and it started to charge. Try using another cable. Crossing fingers. Btw try using the HP cable in another charging device (ie cell phone), plug in and out several times and check if stops charging momentarily.

Not sure if it works cause I've never needed to try it...but I've read on some forums to try holding the power button down and pressing the Home button 15 times. Seems a bit crazy, but there is some success with it.
