DC7700
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello, I found information on board about possibility to use Q6600 on dc7700

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktops-Archive-Read-Only/Upgrading-a-DC7700-processor-CPU/m-p/705095...

I tried to do this, but without effect, after "downgrade" the microcode the version didn't change and Q6600 is still not supported by mobo. Can somebody give own experience about this issue or check if results will the same? Assuming the tip is true the only problem is keeping actual version (1.06) by mobo - program says the process is successful, but in fact nothing happens - mobo still keeping newer version. Should be v1.01 instead of v1.06. Maybe there is other way to inject older microcode version, for example on OS instead on DOS? For instance with other workaround E7600 works on my setup.
